My dear Ernesto, |

It's
been ages since I last visited Tijuana ,
and it's too bad I missed you then — we
could have visited the Taco
Stand again for the first time and
enjoyed the Pollo
Bombalino together. Next time around,
I expect I'll be playing Don
Diego's Drive-By Bowlarama and we
can hang together and throw back a Corona or
two. |

Unfortunately,
I don't actually have a new album or a
tour or any new songs to lay on you right
this second, but maybe you could listen
to This Moody Bastard a
coupla times while I'm getting it all together
on my end. I sorta wrote that one with
you in mind, so I guess it's "our
song", if you know what I mean. |

I'll
tell you this, though: Tom Whalley and
the gang at Warners are all as excited
as linebackers right
now about my forthcoming album — they've
promised me that they're gonna promote
the thing 'till they're green,
white, and red in the face. Tom
himself is going to be hittin' it doggie
style for all he's worth until my
album screams to the top of the charts
and stays there for a couple of months
or more. |

Tell
the gang at Don's I
miss 'em the most and hope to see them
soon! |

Ciao
for now, -W |
